DeCeTe Duisburg

Located at the heart of the Ruhr area - Germany's leading industrial centre - DeCeTe constitutes the fastest and most efficient gateway to Germany. Twelve million consumers who live and work within a 100-kilometre-radius of DeCeTe are within optimum reach via the trimodal inland terminal in Duisburg. DeCeTe is one of the extended gates within ECT's European Gateway Services network. The inland terminal is connected by rail and barge with the deep-sea terminals of ECT in Rotterdam on a daily basis. Situated directly on the Rhine, DeCeTe has almost one kilometre of quay with four gantry cranes and its own 700-metre rail track. Via the adjacent rail terminal of Duss, DeCeTe in addition offers through connections to more than 70 destinations all across Europe.

More connections

In addition to the daily rail and barge connections with Rotterdam, DeCeTe is also connected with Antwerp several times a week:

  •                By barge to Antwerp 3 times a week

Furthermore, DeCeTe is a shortsea terminal. Via the Rhine and the North Sea, there are direct scheduled liner services from the terminal to the ports of Tilbury and Goole in the UK.

Comprehensive range of services

At DeCeTe, customers benefit from a comprehensive range of logistics services. These range from the temporary storage of full containers and a fully-fledged empty container depot that provides cleaning, maintenance and repair services, to the on-demand pre-transport and post-transport of containers right at the customer’s doorstep. In the immediate vicinity of the terminal, many reputable logistics providers operate warehouses for European distribution. Furthermore, as part of European Gateway Services, paperless transport and transport with a time guarantee between the deep-sea terminals of ECT and DeCeTe are also available.
