TCT Belgium

Strategically situated between Antwerp and Brussels, the Trimodal Container Terminal Belgium (TCT Belgium) takes a substantial part of the logistics activities off the hands of its customers. The inland terminal on the Scheldt-Brussels Canal in Willebroek organises both the transport of containers to and from the seaport for them and the on-demand pick-up and delivery of containers right at the customer's doorstep. Cargo is always available just-in-time.

TCT Belgium is situated at the heart of a rapidly growing region for European distribution. As an extended gate in ECT’s European Gateway Services network, the inland terminal is connected on a daily basis by barge with the ECT deep-sea terminals in Rotterdam, the first European port of call for many major Asia liner services. Barges also connect TCT Belgium with Antwerp twice a day and there are regular barge connections with Zeebrugge as well. Due to its situation near major motorways, TCT Belgium furthermore constitutes an attractive hub for distribution deeper into Europe.

Comprehensive logistics services

Following upon the sustainable and reliable transport by barge to and from the sea ports, TCT Belgium offers customers many additional logistics services:

  • Short-term and long-term storage of full containers;
  • On-demand door-to-door container delivery and pick-up for the customer;
  • Comprehensive empty depot with all facilities necessary for cleaning, maintenance and repairs;
  • Environment-friendly gassing and degassing of containers;
  • Handling of all customs formalities.

As part of European Gateway Services, paperless transport and transport with a time guarantee will also be possible between the deep-sea terminals of ECT and TCT Belgium in the near future.
