Within the European Gateway Services network of ECT, the Trimodal Container Terminal Venlo (TCT Venlo) is the extended gate on the Dutch - German border. The inland terminal is strategically situated, right at the heart of the no. 1 logistics hotspot in the Netherlands. Germany’s Ruhr area is a stone’s throw away: Dusseldorf is a mere 55-kilometre drive, Cologne 90 kilometres. TCT Venlo comprises both a rail terminal and a barge terminal. Several daily trains and a thrice-weekly barge shuttle maintain the connections with the ECT deep-sea terminals in Rotterdam. Twice a week, TCT Venlo is also connected with Antwerp via barge.

TCT Venlo offers customers a wide range of services, such as the short-term and long-term storage of full containers, the on-demand collection and delivery of containers at the customer’s doorstep and a fully-fledged empty container depot, including all facilities for cleaning, maintenance and repairs. Well-trained employees ensure that services are rendered in a reliable, professional and safe manner. German is an obvious second language at the inland terminal. As part of European Gateway Services, paperless transport and transport with a time guarantee between the deep-sea terminals of ECT and TCT Venlo are also possible.
