Versatile container services

Operational 24/7

Supported by advanced information systems, ECT’s staff are ready 24/7 to quickly, efficiently and safely handle visiting ships. ECT operates two deep-sea terminals in Rotterdam: the ECT Delta Terminal and Euromax Terminal Rotterdam at the Maasvlakte directly on the North Sea.

For every market segment

ECT has the people, the facilities and the resources. From the discharging and loading of Ultra Large Container Ships (+18,000 TEU) at the Maasvlakte without any tidal limitations to the handling of smaller vessels in the city area and from a comprehensive range of services for reefer containers to the complete care for special cargo and much more.

European transport hub

ECT organises the onward European transport to the exact specifications and requirements of the customer. Immediately after having been discharged from the deep-sea vessel, containers are available for further transport. ECT is the European feeder hub for the UK, Spain/Portugal, Scandinavia and the Baltic region. What’s more, the ECT terminals constitute the starting point and terminus for hundreds of rail and barge shuttles a week to and from destinations across the entire continent. The fastest and most efficient route always runs via Rotterdam.

European Gateway Services

Through European Gateway Services, ECT offers customers a constantly expanding network of inland terminals which function as extended gates® of the deep-sea terminals. Via rail and inland shipping, these extended gates boast highly frequent connections with Rotterdam. Thus, containers can be further transported directly after having been discharged, also paperless if required. It is not until the inland terminal that a company needs to arrange the customs formalities.
