Rotterdam - and with that ECT - is ideally situated to service the whole European market. Many shipping lines choose Rotterdam as their first and last European port of call. Within the port, ECT operates three strategically located facilities: two large-scale terminal complexes directly on the North Sea (ECT Delta Terminal and Euromax Terminal Rotterdam) and a terminal near the city center (ECT City Terminal). All the modalities for efficient European transport are available in the immediate vicinity:
- feedering
- inland shipping
- rail transport
- road transport
Every possibility for additional logistics services
Directly opposite the ECT terminals, the Port of Rotterdam has developed various large- scale distribution centers. These so-called Distriparks offer every possibility for additional logistics services. The Distripark Eemhaven (35 hectares) is close to the ECT City Terminal. The Distripark Maasvlakte (86 hectares) is just across the road from the ECT Delta Terminal and in the vicinity of the Euromax Terminal Rotterdam. Flyovers offer a direct link between the Distriparks and the terminals. And even better: an internal track between the Distripark Maasvlakte and the ECT Delta Terminal allows for the ultra- fast delivery and dispatch of containers from ship to warehouse and vice versa.
