The date has been announced! As of November 30, 2021, the new ECT app can be downloaded in the App Store and Google Play store. This new app replaces the existing app.
Functionalities
The ECT app offers existing, and also new functionalities. News and service notifications return and are available to everyone. Setting push notifications is also still possible.
The Traffic Indicator also returns, but the information per block group is only accessible after logging in with a MyTerminal account. This also applies to the Object Status. Requesting a Container Status is a new app functionality and can also only be used with a MyTerminal account.
Controlled way of data sharing
MyTerminal is ECT's existing web platform, specially developed for shipping companies, operators, logistics service providers and shippers. With the integration of this platform in the app, a new step is taken in the provision of digital services. The advantage is that the provided information is the same everywhere and always.
The new app meets all security requirements for data sharing in a controlled way. Companies that want access to MyTerminal are validated and authorized by ECT. This is expected to be expanded next year with additional security measures such as two-factor authentication (2FA).
Requesting a MyTerminal account
A MyTerminal account is required to access Object and Container Status and the Traffic Indicator in the new app. If you do not yet have a MyTerminal account, you can easily request one via the website https://myterminal.ect.nl/ or, after November 30, by following the registration steps in the app.

The current app will remain available, but will cease to exist as from January 1, 2022. However, the functionality for push notifications will expire in the current app as from November 30.
