Weekly update - week 15

UPDATE week 15

General

 Temporary limitation of quay capacity

New quay cranes and ARMG cranes will be delivered at the ECT Euromax terminal in week 15. Temporary use of part of the quay will be required to unload this equipment.

As a result, from 15 April 2026 (subject to changes in the vessel’s arrival time) and for a period of approximately 14 days, there will be limited handling capacity for barges, feeders and deepsea at the ECT Euromax terminal.

We are making every effort to minimize any disruption to your logistics processes. Should you have any questions or wish to coordinate your planning, we are happy to assist. As usual, barge operators can contact CAL and feeder operators can contact CAF.

Weather

Last weekend land- and waterside operations on both terminals were hampered by the stormy weather conditions. ECT Delta terminal could continue operations. ECT Euromax terminal had to stop operations from Saturday 03:00 hrs till 05:00 hrs.

Busy truck handling expected due to Easter weekend

Due to the large number of import containers discharged during last week and the long Easter weekend, the service times for truck handling may be higher than usual. We advise road hauliers to take this into account when planning their transports and preferably pick-up containers outside peak hours (evening hours, at night and during the weekend).

ECT Delta terminal

Last week:

ECT Delta terminal had a full program with mostly dual deepsea at the DDN and triple/quattro deepsea at the DDE. The container yard occupancy for reefers and dry containers was very high, but under control due to additional measures. Service times for barges and feeders were higher than standard.

This and coming week:

ECT Delta terminal will have a full program with mostly dual deepsea at the DDN terminal and triple/quattro deepsea at the DDE terminal. Service times for barges and feeders will be higher than standard. The container yard occupancy for dry containers is very high, but under control due to additional measures. A large number of reefers will be discharged during this week. A swift pick-up (preferably outside peak hours) will be highly appreciated.

ECT Euromax terminal

Last week:

ECT Euromax terminal had a full program with dual deepsea alongside. The container yard occupancy for dry containers and reefers was high but under control. The D-route has been activated at different moments, resulting in longer waiting times for road transport. Service times for barges and feeders were higher than standard.

This and coming week:

ECT Euromax terminal will have a full program with dual deepsea alongside during this and next week with still reduced productivity levels. The container yard occupancy for dry containers and reefers is high and remains under attention in particular for empty equipment. Service times for barges and feeders will be higher than standard.
