A number of important changes will take place that will affect the road transport at our terminals.
The pillars at our Euromax terminal are being replaced, without a built-in printer. The route plan and interchanges that truck drivers normally receive at the gate, will be digitally available via the ECT app for both the Delta and Euromax terminal.
From September only available digitally
The pillars at the Euromax terminal will be replaced from September 2023: from then on the route plan and interchanges will only be available digitally via the app. At the Delta terminal, the printers will be switched off later: the route plan and interchanges will therefore be available via the pillars as well as digitally for a longer period of time.
CargoCard link
To receive the route plan and interchanges via the app, drivers need to link their CargoCard by following several steps in the app. On each visit, the route plan, interchange(s) (up to 7 days back) and any dosage are then automatically displayed in the ECT app.
For those drivers who do not yet have the app, it is important that they download it first. Without this link, they will not be able to receive a route plan and interchanges from September 2023, resulting in no further access at the terminal. A backup printer will remain available for unforeseen circumstances.
MyTerminal
Later this year, the interchanges will also become available digitally on the MyTerminal web platform. This eliminates the need for the driver to keep and deliver the paper interchanges. A MyTerminal account is not a requirement for obtaining the route plan and interchanges in the app, it does make it easier for the driver: the advantage is that the driver only has to make the link with the CargoCard once instead of every 24 hours. The use of the ECT app remains free of charge.
Advantage
Digitalisation offers advantages. We are another step closer to making our terminals more sustainable, it also saves the driver time and he/she does not have to keep a printout for his employer. A more efficient and faster way of handling!
Spread the word
A step that requires the necessary attention and cooperation of both employers and drivers in order to keep the access process to our terminals as smooth as possible. We hereby request you to help us spread the word towards truck drivers and alert them to this change. Via this link you will find a flyer that we will distribute at our terminals, intended for drivers.
