SBTI APPROVES HUTCHISON PORTS NEAR-TERM AND NET-ZERO TARGETS

Hutchison Ports has recently obtained the approval from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for our submitted groupwise greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets and 2050 net-zero target. SBTi confirmed the conformity of our targets with their net-zero criteria. Our targets are in line with the trajectory to limit global warming to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.

To achieve the GHG emissions reduction targets, Hutchison Ports has developed a net-zero strategic roadmap which takes into account the past emissions pattern, future plan on electrification of fleet, adoption of renewable energy and alternative fuel.

Step into the world of ECT

30 years ago ECT opened the very first automated terminal in the world!

Our Delta Dedicated North Terminal (DDN) is 30 years old. Three decades ago, on the 25th of June 1993, the then Queen Beatrix performed the opening ceremony. The Queen attended for a very good reason. The Delta/Sea-Land Terminal – as the DDN was known back then – was the very first automated terminal in the world. This innovation put ECT way ahead of its time!
