Following requests from the market consultations with the industry association, it has been decided to further postpone the mandatory safety test and its associated enforcement. The new effective date for the mandatory safety test has been set to 5 January 2027.
This postponement is intended to provide drivers with additional time to complete the safety test and to help prevent potential scheduling bottlenecks. In addition, we have recently introduced TCMS. To limit the impact of multiple changes within a short period and to allow organizations sufficient time to adapt, we have decided to delay the implementation of the mandatory safety test as well.
At the same time, we would like to emphasize that this postponement does not mean that the requirement has been cancelled. We therefore request all drivers who have not yet successfully completed the safety test to schedule an appointment as soon as possible.
As of 5 January 2027, the safety test requirement will be actively enforced. Drivers who do not hold a valid and successfully completed safety test at that time will no longer be granted access to the ECT Delta Terminal and ECT Euromax Terminal. To avoid access issues, we strongly advise drivers not to wait until the last minute.
Drivers who have already successfully completed the safety test are not required to take any further action at this time. For this group, the validity period of the completed safety test will be adjusted to align with the new enforcement date. Further information on this will follow at a later stage.
Appointments for the safety test can easily be scheduled via XS-ID Online or through Secure Logistics at Maasvlakte Plaza.

We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring that all drivers meet the new access requirements in a timely manner. Together, we continue to work towards a safe working environment for everyone at our terminals.
