Replacement of Terminal Operating System at ECT Euromax Terminal #2

We announced earlier via our Weekly and the ECT website that, as of mid-January 2026, the migration from our current Terminal Operating System (TOS) at the ECT Euromax terminal to a new, up-to-date TOS will start.

The actual migration will start on Saturday, January 17, but it will be necessary to impose various restrictions on the handling of the different modalities earlier. During the course of Friday, January 16, the ECT Euromax terminal will be closed for all modalities. For road transport, the terminal will close on Friday, January 16 at 21:00 hours and reopen on Tuesday, January 20 at 09:00 hours. Starting January 20 at 09:00 hours, we will call up a very limited number of drivers per hour via the D-route. Our goal is to achieve 100 trips per day in the first few days. Based on initial experiences, we may scale up if possible.

Prior to the closure, starting Monday, January 12 at 07:00 hours, no empty containers will be accepted for vessels other than Ever Art, Cosco Shipping Sagittarius, Ever Muse, and OOCL Portugal. Import containers from the last deepsea vessels to be handled before the migration (Ever Muse and OOCL Portugal must be collected with priority before the terminal closes.

On Monday, January 19 as from 07:00 hours, operations will resume with very limited-scale handling of feeder, barge and rail. After a go/no-go decision, scaling up will take place towards Tuesday if applicable. In the meantime, if the decision is positive, data interchange will again be possible.

On Tuesday, January 20 at 07:00, a limited deepsea operation will start.

Regarding the different modalities, the current expectations for the first week (January 19–25) are:

  • deepsea: limited handling, planning in consultation with the involved shipping lines
  • feeder: limited handling, planning via CAF
  • barge: limited handling, planning via CAL
  • road: see above, also separate notifications, in coordination with Customer Service
  • rail: limited handling, planning via CAR

Several vessels will be handled at the ECT Delta terminal in the coming weeks instead of at the ECT Euromax terminal. Please also keep an eye on information from the shipping lines.

We will keep you informed before and during the migration through various communication channels. All information will be published and can be found on our website, where we have opened a dedicated section under https://www.ect.nl/en/tos-euromax. For questions, you can also contact the Customer Service Desk at +31(0)181 278088 or customerservice@ect.nl.
