Weekly update - week 38

UPDATE: week 38

General

To further improve safety at our terminals, all drivers visiting the ECT Delta and ECT Euromax terminals need to complete a safety test. Following requests from the market and consultations with industry association, the deadline for completing the mandatory safety assessment has been postponed from September to November 2026. This provides drivers with additional time to comply with the requirement.

From 3 November 2026, ECT will begin enforcing the safety assessment requirement. This means that drivers who have not successfully completed the assessment will no longer be granted access to the ECT Delta and ECT Euromax terminal.

We therefore strongly encourage transport companies and drivers not to wait until the last moment and to schedule an appointment in a timely manner.

 ECT Delta terminal

Last week:

ECT Delta terminal had a full program with mostly dual deepsea at the DDN and quattro deepsea at the DDE. The container yard occupancy for dry containers and reefers was high but under control. Service times for barges and feeders were higher than standard.

This and coming week:

ECT Delta terminal will have a very full program with dual deepsea at the DDN terminal and mostly quattro deepsea at the DDE terminal. The container yard occupancy for dry containers and reefers is extremely high and therefore a swift pick-up of import (reefer)containers (preferably outside peak hours) is necessary. Service times for barges and feeders will be significantly higher than standard.

ECT Euromax terminal

Last week:

ECT Euromax terminal had a regular program last week. The container yard occupancy for dry containers  was high but under control. Service times for barges and feeders were slightly higher than standard.

This and coming week:

ECT Euromax terminal will have a full program with dual deepsea alongside for the upcoming two weeks. This and next week, live equipment tests will be done with the new Quay Cranes. This will limit our handling capacity for second modality during dayshifts at weekdays. The container yard occupancy for dry containers is high but under control. A swift pick-up of import containers (preferably outside peak hours) is much appreciated. Service times for barges and feeders are expected to be higher than standard.
