Facial Recognition via the Cargocard
Later this year, ECT will switch to facial recognition as the new biometric verification method for truck drivers. The current devices that utilize finger vein technology will be gradually replaced with modern devices based on Facial Recognition on Chip (FROC) technology. The first devices will be placed at the ECT Euromax terminal starting the end of May/beginning of June. There will be separate communication about this development. ECT Delta terminal
Last week:
ECT Delta terminal had a full program with dual deepsea at the DDN and triple deepsea at the DDE. The container yard occupancy for reefers and dry containers was under control. Service times for barges and feeders were higher than standard.
This and coming week:
ECT Delta terminal will have a busy program with continuous dual deepsea at the DDN terminal and triple/quattro berths at DDE terminal. The container yard occupancy for dry containers is under control, but needs constant monitoring. Service times for barges and feeders will be higher than standard.
ECT Euromax terminal
Last week:
ECT Euromax terminal had a full program. The container yard occupancy for dry containers was under control due to ongoing measures and monitoring. Service times for barges and feeders were slightly higher than standard.
This and coming week:
ECT Euromax terminal will have dual deepsea alongside till Monday evening. The container yard occupancy is under control, but needs constant monitoring. Service times for barges and feeders will be slightly higher than standard.
