Weekly update - week 41

UPDATE

General

Weather conditions last weekend

During last weekend, storm depression Amy hampered operations on ECT Delta and ECT Euromax terminal. ECT Delta terminal had to stop all operations from Saturday 14:00 hrs. till 19:00 hrs. and ECT Euromax terminal from Saturday 06:00 hrs. till 19:00 hrs. Productivity has been negatively influenced due to high winds around the stop phase and salvage works after the stop phase. Also, the services of nautical service providers and consequently the arrival and departure times of deepsea and feeder vessels were impacted by the storm. This had consequences for the berth planning and berth allocations on both terminals.

Dock lashers announce 48-hour strike in the Port of Rotterdam

Trade unions have called on dock lashers in the Port of Rotterdam to go on strike for 48 hours starting Wednesday, 8 October. The action follows ongoing negotiations over a new collective labour agreement, which have so far failed to reach a resolution. So far it is unknown what the impact will be on our operations.
